Warm greetings.
I am Tanya. It is nice to meet you. Life can become so devoid of meaning and confusing when we are disconnected from our emotional and physical bodies which in turn separate us from the people and natural world around us. My journey has time and again directed me to approach this work in my community and my hope is to impact a lot more lives, the natural world included. If we lose sight of what really matters we could lose our home(s). Planetary health is at risk and our disconnectedness offers a blatant glimpse as primary causation, or seed of suffering provoking extinction on all fronts. I am an educator with over 7 years experience, a Mindfulness qualified teacher in (MBSR) and other Mindfulness Based Programs, a certified HeartMath (Emotion Regulation technqiue) Coach, as well as life long learner back to complete my Clinical training in Psychology and psychotherapy. My purpose in life is healing. Healing my own wounds were a direct pathway to helping others on their path to wholeness. With a decade of self work and support from my spiritual practices and psychological training, I am equipped to navigate the therapeutic modalities and techniques that best suit the clients' needs.
Planetary health is at risk and our disconnectedness offer a blatant glimpse as primary causation, or seed of suffering.
Present Space began as a pathway to address all of the factors that affect our capacity to heal. Its holistic approach an organic understanding that educating the future requires educating the whole of us - not just focusing on IQ but also our EQ capacities. By engaging in holistic ways of development in our education, we are able to tap into our lives more fully, we live with our natural passion and vitality, which helps to wield in the creative ways that we can learn from what make us feel alive. This is of particular importance as it builds pathways for us, as portals to being in that flow again (as is our birthright) and to extend this joy out into our work, bringing greater harmony to the world at large, that is our collective purpose. Do you see how important each unique individual is to overall planetary health? We are all part and parcel to a greater web of life. I am living proof that tides can change and that living with say, a labeled neurodiverse make-up, in fact offers an otherwise uncanny blooming opportunity despite its morbid reputation (which I am critically examining and its socio-cultural ramifications in society through the adverse effects of the outdated biomedical model of medecine and psychiarty today). It has been an asset to becoming more whole and has brought surprising strengths to myself and thus Others. Such an ecological outlook is surely far more affirmative than say one that would rather succumb to the ill stated convictions that so many of us have fallen to - hopelessness and despair in the face of stigma associated with mental illness.
Changing our perspective around stigma and even the concept of mental illness (stay tuned for new post on this: Seeing our Symptoms as Saviours) when considering mental health, can lift us up and out of darkness to living our lives with more compassion, integration and awareness and therefore with the capacity to offer support and healing to those who need it the most. If you or someone you know have struggled with mental illness or psychopathology or understood through the biomedical model as having a broken brain or lost soul syndrome - you are not alone and certainly not broken.

Integration of the multiplicity of ways that we can come to Know ourselves and the world is the gift of transformation.
Our capacity for transformation depends on our openness to change, adapt and grow and an infinite world of developing such capacities await. Present Space is founded on this premise and our mission is to facilitate self awareness, emotional regulation and compassion.
I know the body is a powerful tool of awakening, and we must must inhabit it, fully. This is called embodiment. All Present Space Mindfulness programs incorporate the body as the primary foundation to self awareness. The first Foundation of Mindfulness is the premise that it is first discovered in the Body. Embodiment is a process by which we can come to know and claim all the parts of ourselves and with love and compassion, own our story. Are you ready to fully and up-to-this point, own your story and move toward greater levels of health and well-being?
“Our bodies play a huge role in the accomplishment of our goals and our overall happiness. Embodiment... is about tuning into our physical bodies and learning ways to support our health and well-being so that we can do what we need to do, and enjoy the journey."1
I trust that if every soul comes to fully love themselves, liberation ensues and this takes one on a beautiful journey, albeit a demanding one. This journey requires courage and the radical commitment to meet the antagonising conditions that limit the very thinking and feeling that seems ‘normal’ in today’s reality, with love and compassion. This is why the principle of discernment and sensitivity to this Knowing process is so deeply connected to my daily practice and work. We need to be able to see the difference and we are not exactly taught this at growing up. It is not that explicit. It is rather tacit and the body’s intelligence far more ancient that we realise, can consciously ‘work’ it out if we simply open our hearts and ‘give a moment’, you know? How we have been ‘brought up’ as children in our communities and ecologically, as broader interdependent systems, well, is a function of these interactions and it is our response(ability) to gather information and make the most intelligible choice that will serve the collective, as our survival depends on it.2

As a reminder that suffering is universal and inherent in the dynamic of life and that the principle of duality needs to exist in order for life to take shape in the ways that it does, especially in the sense of how we perceive it is what make it ever so significant to develop these intelligences that help us to discern and make out with clarity what is actually right before us and what is the most ‘well adapted response’ to take? Finding most of us to be detached and ‘lost’ from their vital energies, we fail to embrace the full catastrophe of it all 3 and seem to be limited into small little apprehensible boxes to handle the incomprehensible (doesn’t seem sensible now, does it?). I know first hand how depriving, unchanging, lifeless and damn right shitty this state can be.
This is but a short glimpse of the Tapped In Life that moves within me, like an ocean of resourcefulness to draw from when our reserves feel insubstantial. This weekly subscription will grace you with my exclusive and lived examples of sustainable holistic ways to embody integrative wellness. Here, with Tapping In, seasonality augments a healthy routine to theme based content as the months meet us and we can move with an integrated model of well being. Along the four dimensions of well being, each week a meander from the more physical dimension, to the mental and emotional and more social and civic dimension to flourishing as a peoples. I decided to include the spiritual dimension across all the weeks as an all important undercurrent that will guide and inform my curiosities.
If you are reading this. Know you are a valued participant in the ecosystem of life. You are nature and it is your birthright to experience the full multidimensionality of the Heart. Your steps toward wholeness, as you bridge the gaps, emulate your bravery to overcome these limited time and space horizons that we call noospheres.
noosphere | ˈnəʊəsfɪə | nouna postulated sphere or stage of evolutionary development dominated by consciousness, the mind, and interpersonal relationships: creatures evolve: a new biosphere emerges, and with it a new noosphere. 4
Welcome In a new perspective(s). Be part of the movement of radically acting toward a more integrative model of perception.
Your Presence Here I value.
Warm, embodied and soft regards,
Tanya

Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat Zinn offers powerful and useful insights into the nature of suffering and the interplay of these complex systems. Realising our wholeness os prerequisite to feeling embodied and therefore more apt to withstand the perceived pain of suffering.
